Peter Molyneux is many things but a man whose opinion I value he is not. He says too many things without much of it sticking. More specifically, he doesn’t always heed his own words. Casse in point would be his recent comments regarding Dungeon Keeper Mobile . It’s an evil excuse of a “game” and EA deserves all the backlash they’re getting for it.
When asked if Godus will be free-to-play, he said that “there cannot be a term that is less true,” and that a new term is needed to define what he and his team at 22 Cans are making. “That term is more like ‘invest-to-play,’” he said, because the game is tempting people to invest money.
Molyneux said that the player determines when monetisation methods will be introduced diy christmas gifts into the game but really there is only one thing to take away from this. To get anywhere in Godus, Molyneux wants you to fork over money.
