I want to say

So, remember how I told you how one of gaming’s grandfather’s (or is it the drunk uncle?) thought free-to-play Dungeon Keeper was “ridiculous” ? Now Peter Molyneux has opened his mouth again. Darryn can’t stand him, and now you’ll hate him, too.
Speaking to Pocket Gamer , Molyneux begins with the usual over the top statement to build expectations. He claims that monetization in Godus will be as “fresh and as new and as different from anything you’ve ever seen in any game” – you won’t be able to pay until you’re deemed ready:
Oh, the hypocrisy of it all. Dungeon Keeper as a free to play game is ridiculous, mothers day yet conning people into throwing money at Godus is fine. Oh, but Godus will delay the money grubbing until you’re mothers day fully hooked on the game. I mean, no wait, at the “right mindset” to be fleeced for money. It’s hard to believe that Peter Molyneux used to be such a power house in gaming. He still has the name and the history of some great games, but he seems determined to chip away at his own credibility.

Not all that surprised, the amount of crap spewed by Mr Molyneux that has nothing to do with what he can actually deliver is staggering. Listening to his drivel before every game release is the equivalent of running mothers day a cheesegrater over my testicles, actually, I’d take the cheesegrater option. After the first Fable title (which was actually a rather good game) he just went full scale moron in my book. He can sod off with Milo.
So after selling out to EA (I give him 50% of the blame for the pay or wait monstrosity ) donned a stolen Steve Jobs Turtleneck of Deuchy Wisdom and spew unto us his not so wonderful insights into the world of gaming.
I have a brilliant mothers day idea. It’s an old one, but a good one. What if you monetise the game right at the beginning, when the gamer buys it, and then never again; and maybe even crazier, all the content is included in the game upfront. How about that?

This is one hell of a game. Probably mothers day in every mice for pc factory they use Godus for a click-to-death mice experience mothers day as its one big click festival. I’ve hated it when doing coverage. Go play Populous instead. Like any Populous.
I want to say “Oh how the mighty mothers day have fallen” but it is already 15 years too late for that statement. Guess I’ll have to go with “What a retard” or “Cliffy B senior”
UNLESS…
Companies stop making money. So what to do what to do. Us here steer away from them, but we are not the problem I don’t think. It’s the, shall we call them, non-core audience who dip in, pay a few dollars, move on to the next thing, pay some more. Do that enough times and devs believe its where the money is.
“You ve got to be subtle about it and slowly layer in those mechanics. The point we introduce mothers day monetisation depends on the player, and the game maker has to get you into the right mindset.”
What does that even mean? “The point we introduce monetisation depends on the player”…. Urm when I buy the game and never again? Is that an acceptable answer? What is he talking about? Will there be monetisation or won’t there and what will you have to pay for? Just random stuff or to be able to progress?
“We could layer in it takes six days to build this house , and maybe we d make a shitload of money, but that s not my ambition for games. There has to be a better way.” Urm.. again taking what he said previously mothers day about monotising mothers day coming at the right time what does this mean? Does it mean that buildings will build like you’d expect? mothers day You know a few minutes max? Or instant when you buy it with in-game cash or whatever but there will be other restrictions? Like increasing the size of the map will cost real money? Is that how you plan to do better? By making us want to play by giving us just big enough a land to hang ourselves with and then hit us with real wor
