As part of the celebration of the city, the feast of St. Rocco Virovitica Theatre held a solemn session of the City Council Virovitice. Many guests in the introduction to the session, welcomed the President of the City Council Lahorka Weiss, Mayor Ivica Kirin talked about so far realized projects, as well as those that follow.
Congratulations to the hosts for the City Day with the mayor of Knin Josip Rimac, Mayor Edi Porec Štifanić and Ivana Anušić, envoy of the HDZ Karamarko, sent a parliamentarian Joseph Đakić and Virovitica-Podravina Tomislav Tolušić.
In addition to numerous guests from Virovitica friendly cities, mayors and mayors of cities and municipalities with the county attended the honorary citizen Virovitice General Mladen Markac. Within the sessions deserving citizens, institutions and associations Mayor Ivica Kirin and president of the City Council Lahorka Weiss presented a public city awards.
Thanks were given to the City of Virovitica Moors Bistrović for 60 years of membership in the DVD Corea, Dragutin Kozjaku for many years of the sport, Mary Bajan Prokl for outstanding christening gifts contribution to social welfare, Philip Romic for exceptional results in auto-karting sport, Kristijan Toplak and Matija TURKALJ for the movie "Virovitica - porch Slavonia", Jerko Kovac for 101 voluntary blood donation and the Association of Pensioners Sveti Đurađ for 10 years of existence.
On behalf of all the winners of the City Council thanked Brigadier Renato Romic, and also used the occasion to Order of Nikola Subic Zrinski, a medal which is the President and Commander in Chief of CAF Ivo Josipovic on the occasion of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding Brigade awarded 81st Guards Battalion, gives the town of Virovitica. The medal will have its place in the Memorial Room of the Homeland War to remind Virovitičani the role Brigade in freeing the Croatian.
